Patrick Grover of TWC, is the winner of a Starboard Carve 94 windsurfer board!
Patricks name was drawn at the Windsurfing Canada raffle at Toronto Windsurfing Clubs Mammoth Awards. Trident sports was the generous sponsor. All proceeds will go to the Windsurfing Canada Rainbow outreach program.

"TWC TIPS- "August 24 12.30pm: Bill Quantock - Choosing Beginner or Intermediate Equipment"
Bill Quantock former president, racer and LTW Instructor at Toronto Windsurfing club can help you figure out what equipment is best suited to your sailing ability and the type of sailing that you like to do. Bill was a driving force behind developing the 4 part Learn to windsurf lessons taught at TWC and is currently working at Silent Sports. Bring your questions to Bill and he will try to help you sort them out. Please look for Bill in the orange "TIPS" jacket and let him know you are there for the clinic.

"TWC Learn to Race Clinic - Andree Gauthier, Wednesday Aug 6, 5,30pm "
Andree Gauthier one of canada's top windsurfers will be offering a special Learn to Race TIPS clinic in TWC Clubhouse. Come down for Wednesday night social and fun race and let Andree help you improve your windsurf racing skills no matter what level you are at. Race starts on the water at 6pm sharp, so arrive at 5pm to rig, get ready for race and then get some great race tips one one of Canada's best women racers. Members and non-members are welcome to race and participate in this clinic.
"TWC Tips youth Clinic"
We have a great youth skills clinic being offered by David Hayes, Monday July 21st at 6pm in front of the Toronto Windsurfing Club. Please let Dave know you are there for youth clinic. There will be onland lessons followed by on water practice. In addition to many the tips that he will share with windsurfers of all levels, David will teach you what to do when the wind is howling. (David's seret weapon is his high winds sailing skills) David is the olympic runner up for Bejing with Canadian Olympic Windsurfing Team (if needed David will go and compete in Bejing) David has offered to do a clinic to help our youth with their windsurfing with this onland/onwater clinic Whatever level you are this clinic is sure to help you improve your windsurfing skills.
"TWC Tuesday Night Freestyle lessons begins"
TWC TIPS launches a free tuesday night beginner freestyle clinic every Tuesday till September. All ages are welcome. Beginners and advanced sailors alike will learn some fun tricks to practice when the wind is not co-operateing.
Look for Will and Max in the orange TWC TIPS jacket on Tuesday July 22nd at 6pm in front of the Toronto Windsurfing Club. Let them know you are there for freestyle and they will get you hooked up. There will be onland lessons followed by on water practice. Come out and learn what to do wnhen the wind isn't howling.

"Wednesday NIght Social BBQ and Fun Race"
Come down, bring your friends, or make new ones. All are welcome, members and non-members alike. It's a great opportunity to check out the club and meet some new friends.
Every Wednesday night we have a social get together and BBQ (after fun race) It's a great way to make the season twice as long by sailing midweek. Meet like minded people , talk about windsurfing and gear, enjoy the beautiful lakefront on a warm summers day.
Join us for the fun race 6pm sharp on the water (rigging starts at 5pm) There will be a Learn to Race primer at 5.30pm in the clubhouse, and a chance to hook up with a racer, who will help you get started and out to the start line, debrief you after the race and keep you going. This is guaranteed to make you a better windsurfer!

"TWC TIPS 2008"
TWC TIPS launches another season of windsurfing tip clinics with Phil Soltysiak freestyle windsurfer. Phil is ranked #17 in the world of frestyle windsurfing.
Look for Phil Soltysiak in the orange TWC TIPS jacket on Saturday May 24th at 1pm at the Toronto Windsurfing Club. Phil will talk about freestyle equipment, how competitions work as well as doing an on land/water clinic. What he will teach will depend on the windconditions. This is open to all,members and non members alike. Over the season we will have a number of "Pro friends of TWC" visiting, but this is primarily members helping members based training with tips of all kinds from rigging to lowwind/highwind strategies. The schedule for this will be posted at the bulletin board in the clubhouse and at our website. Check it regularly to see what's new. If you are an experienced windsurfer and can help with this, please contact twc_tips@torontowindsurf.com

We have an excellent day camp planned for children 12 years and older. Our CYA certified staff will teach your children windsurfing skills in a fun and safe environment.
